Number made light

One rule, iterated. Each edition starts from a number — a sequence, an angle, a pitch — and lets light make it visible. Computed, prototyped and made in the Paris workshop.

Les 7 Raisons

A lenticular cloud in incandescence, above a volcano. Transparent domes are stacked on a turned-wood base, each one hovering over its own ring of light, the halo. The modules lock together with a magnetic click and can be reordered at will. Warm light at the edges, a brighter heart in the middle: the table lamp sets its outer halos at 2000 K and its central one at 3000 K. Table, buffet, floor and pendant versions.

The range is counted in primes: three, five and seven domes. Diameters are not drawn but counted — n segments of 25 mm, Ø = 25n/π — rising to a maximum and falling back, 7-8-10-11-11-9-7 on the table model, so the stack reads as a cloud rather than a cone. Each dome follows a power-law meridian, steepest at the rim, which catches the light of its halo and folds it back inside.

crOOzin

Not a lamp that lights a room, but a light you look at. A biomorphic resin shade on a hand-turned wood base holds a lens that diffracts, focuses and bends the light, then projects onto the ceiling a shadow that extends the form. No rainbow of colours: white light through a dichroic filter, each piece set in a single ratio of two colours, chosen by its owner.

One parametric definition, never the same piece twice. The ribs of the shade are recomputed for every lamp: each one is a single iteration of the rule, a pattern that exists once. Printed in resin in 25 µm layers, in a limited, numbered series made in Paris.

PumpKini’

A small, mischievous light creature — half forbidden fruit, half angry octopus. A perforated resin shell, black or white, throws a constellation of coloured points across the walls around it. The entry piece of the collection: USB-C powered, three sizes, a dichroic lens in the colour pair of your choice.

Three sizes in arithmetic progression: 8, 14 and 20 cm. The openings run in rows along the meridians of the shell and change diameter with its curvature, so the light leaves the object as a field of points of varying size.

Phyllotaxis Lamp

An instrument of living light, made to accompany rest and breathing. A corolla of laser-cut petals opens like a parabolic shell above the body and carries hundreds of points of light. Built on the studio’s crOOzin Core module, it is being developed to adapt its sequences — slow spirals, pulses, waves — to the rhythm of the person beneath it.

Each point of light turns by the golden angle, 137.508°, from the one before — the rule of sunflower heads and pine cones. No two points ever align, and spirals appear that nobody drew, counted in consecutive Fibonacci numbers. One geometry at two scales, a factor of ten apart: an object of about 250 mm and an immersive installation of about 2,500 mm.

Le Miroir

A mirror above the bed, framed in a line of warm light, for one night in a hotel suite. The structure stands on its own four legs, with nothing fixed to the wall or the ceiling, arrives folded in a single cylinder and unfolds like a tent. An object of desire rather than a piece of furniture: it has to be light, elegant and ready in minutes.

A 4:3 field of twelve mirror cassettes, 400 mm square, forming a 1,600 × 1,200 mm plane. The frame folds in two on its short side and in three on its long side; four legs lean out at 10°. Everything derives from one module. Designed to be set up in under ten minutes.
